MOCALMO was founded by husband and wife, Stefano Pierini and Diana Kattan. Stefano, a scientist obsessed with structural detail and native of Marche, Italy, and Diana, a wellness goods specialist. Frustrated by the inability to find high-end sneakers that are elegant and truly work-appropriate, the couple decided to embark on a journey that leverages Stefano’s hometown resources. Handmade from start to finish by a family-run factory of artisans in Italy’s Le Marche region, known as the world’s best and oldest shoe manufacturing district, the shoes are made using only locally-sourced materials and the same time-honored techniques that place Italy at the forefront of luxury footwear.
