Since 1718, the Lazzaroni family has crafted amaretti cookies in Saronno, Italy according to their family's traditional recipe. Chiostro di Saronno translates to "Cloister of Saronno," for the home of the company in a former Franciscan cloister in the center of town. Lazzaroni's legendary cookies are made from a mixture of sugar, apricot kernels, and egg whites. These soft, airy cookies with a distinctive bittersweet flavor are perfect with espresso, dessert wine, or aperitifs.
